RSV vaccine information

You may have heard of the RSV vaccination.  RSV stands for Respiratory Syncytial Virus and is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs.  It causes symptoms similar to a cold, including cough, sore throat, sneezing and runny or blocked nose.

NHS England is running a RSV vaccination campaign this September.  It is a free vaccine and those eligible are those who are 75 to 79 years old on 1 September 2024

We will be holding RSV vaccine specific clinics in early September. Those eligible for the vaccine will receive an invitation in due course. Do not worry if you do not get an invitation – you will be invited.

For further information, please see the leaflet below. This is also available as a hard copy from behind the reception desk. You can also ask the clinician you see if you have an upcoming appointment for another issue.
